Have Your Say: Help Us Build a Safer, More Inclusive Drinks Industry

The UK drinks industry is at a turning point — and we need your voice.

Drinks United has launched the first-ever industry-wide survey aimed at capturing the real experiences of people working across our sector. From vineyards to breweries, cocktail bars to bottle shops, and everywhere in between — if you work in drinks, this survey is for you.

This is your opportunity to share what it’s really like to work in the industry — the challenges, the culture, and the changes you want to see.

👉 Take the Survey Now (It only takes 5–10 minutes)

Why Now?

The Drinks United Industry Survey has been created to uncover the lived experiences of professionals across the UK drinks trade — from production and logistics to sales, hospitality, marketing and retail.

We know that pockets of progress are happening, but we also know that harassment, exclusion, and inequity remain widespread and underreported. Many businesses want to do better, but lack the data or tools to act effectively.

This survey is a critical step in building a shared understanding of what needs to change and how we can work together to create a culture where everyone feels safe, included, and supported.

Who Should Take Part?

This survey is open to everyone working in the UK drinks industry, regardless of your role, background, or level of experience. Whether you’re:

  • Pulling pints behind a bar

  • Running a wine shop or brand

  • Working in logistics, education, sales, or hospitality

  • Freelancing, consulting, or job-seeking in the trade

Your voice counts.

We particularly encourage responses from underrepresented groups — your experiences are vital to shaping meaningful change.

What Will Happen with the Results?

The survey is open until 17 October 2025, and results will be shared publicly in early 2026.

Your responses will:

  • Shape industry-wide recommendations for DEI and safeguarding

  • Guide the development of practical resources and policies via the Drinks United Resource Hub

  • Inform leadership accountability and sector-wide commitments

  • Help us set a baseline for progress across the next three years

Most importantly, your feedback will help make sure that future efforts reflect the realities faced by people across the sector.

How You Can Help

We need your help to spread the word.

Please share the survey with your networks — whether that’s your team, your trade body, your local wine group, or your social media followers. The more voices we hear, the stronger our case for change.

A United Industry Starts With Listening

Drinks United is a partnership between the WSET, the WSTA, and The Drinks Trust, created to drive coordinated DEI action across the industry.

We’re not here to point fingers — we’re here to raise the bar, together. And that starts with listening.

So please:

✔️Fill in the survey.

✔️Share it with your peers.

✔️Be part of building a better future for drinks.

Together, we can make the UK drinks industry fairer, safer, and stronger — for everyone.
